Looking For Masu (Sake Cups) But Not Sure Which to Get?

Hello!

If you’ve ever been to Japan, you may have heard of masu, or wooden cups used for drinking sake (Japanese rice wine). Often made of cypress, these cups also make excellent souvenirs for any occasion.

When drinking sake, a glass is first placed inside the masu before being served. The sake is poured till it overflows from the glass into the masu, allowing you to enjoy a full cup of delicious sake. Some drinking places also use masu made from lacquer, allowing you to enjoy the unique beauty of Japanese lacquerware.

If you’re holding an event or gathering and searching for a unique souvenir for your guests to bring home, masu will be the perfect solution for you!

The most common masu is one of standard size  (about 162ml) and is of a simple, wooden design. These are perfect for ordering in bulk and are very cost-effective!

We also offer individual paper boxes for packing, protecting the masu from any damage and also saving you the hassle of packaging.

Besides the standard size that we offer, we have a large range of other sizes:

Mini (36ml), Small (90ml), Medium (143ml), Large (906ml), Extra-Large (1,800ml) – which all cater for various events and needs.

If you’re celebrating a special occasion or want to make your souvenir even more unique, you can choose to customise your masu with your very own design, logo, or message.

Some standard branding designs we have for the masu include:

Of course, you are free to submit your own design to us to brand on the masu cups!

Also, if you want to both use the masu at your event and save them as souvenirs, purchase some vinyl bags from your guests to bring them home!

These vinyl bags prevent any remaining sake from spilling, and also add to the uniqueness of the masu souvenirs!
