We’re still in the middle of summer here in Japan, but it’s never too early to start preparing for your autumn events!
Japan has a strong focus on the seasons, and every season has its own seasonal events. In this post, we will introduce the popular events held in autumn.

4) School Festivals
School festivals are a big thing in Japan! They are often held in autumn, and the whole school takes a break from lessons for a few days to hold the festival.
School festivals are a great chance for students to gain lifelong skills and apply what they have learnt to real-life situations. You will usually find live performances, food and games at any school festival in Japan.
Of course, the students put in months of hard work to ensure that everything runs smoothly. At Event21, we understand how difficult it is to juggle one’s studies and extra-curricular activities. We would love to help in any way we can, so do reach out to us!

5) Sports Festivals
Autumn is not only the season for school festivals. It is also the time for sports festivals!
When we talk about sports in Japan, baseball immediately springs to mind. Baseball is definitely a well-loved sport in Japan, but we cannot forget the other sports and games that are uniquely Japan! The photo below shows a game of Tamaire (玉入れ), a game where one tries to throw as many balls as possible into the basket!
Sports events are a great opportunity to get some exercise and have fun with your friends and family!
