Hello!
It’s been especially cold in the recent week here in Japan – which brings us to this post!
Besides the stoves introduced in a previous post, there are many other unique ways to help you stay warm.
Don’t miss out on the kotatsu – an electric heated table found in many Japanese households. A thick blanket is placed in between the tabletop and the heater beneath, and the kotatsu is ready for use. Perfect for a household to cuddle together in one area, while enjoying the heat from the kotatsu (you place your legs underneath!). Many also enjoy mikan – a type of mandarin often found in Japan – while seated around the table. The kotatsu is so cozy that many associate it with sluggishness – you won’t be able to leave your seat once you’ve turned it on!
There’s also no need to worry about the kotatsu taking up space in the hotter months – simply remove the blanket and you have a usual household table ready for use!
If you are holding an outdoors event, here’s a quirky-looking jet-heater to help you stay warm outside. It releases hot air for a total of 15 hours – no more need to worry about the cold wind outside!
Taken care of the cold but not the dryness? Rent a humidifier and restore some moisture in the air!
Lastly, enjoy hot food at any event with this microwave meant for commercial uses. Different from a household microwave, it allows you to heat up various kinds of food at different settings, and at larger portions. Perfect for preparing food for a large party!
